The benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar are too many to mention, from helping with digestion to safely removing skin tags (works like a charm, I tried it!). But, firstly, ACV is known to balance your Ph levels while creating an alkaline environment in your body. Other than being the best thing in the world for heartburn and gas, it boosts your immune system, fuels energy levels, lowers blood sugar levels, reduces inflammation, helps with weight loss and improves complexion.
To make a simple ACV Tonic, I use 1 tbsp. of ACV in a glass mug mixed with lukewarm water and I sip it slowly first thing in the morning. If you can't take the taste and find it too harsh, you can start with 1 tsp and then go up from there. I have this Tonic about 20 minutes before my Breakfast. I always buy the organic, raw, unfiltered, Bragg's brand "with the mother". The "mother" are the good enzymes and gut-friendly bacteria which float around at the bottom of the bottle so it's really important that before you use it each time, give the bottle a good shake to break up the mother formation and ensure even distribution. Believe me, you'll be doing yourself a great favour by feeding the gut with these essential enzymes first thing in the morning as, among all above-mentioned benefits, you will also help promote better digestion throughout the day.
On the mornings when I feel really adventurous, I also add a pinch of cayenne pepper to my Tonic. Not only does the ACV/cayenne combo soothe sinus pain and congested symptoms due to seasonal colds, but the addition of cayenne will give you an additional anti-inflammatory boost that you'll be thankful for!
